In Snapfix, a Task is an action item or job that needs to be completed, such as a maintenance issue, safety check, or operational request. Creating tasks helps teams track, manage, and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring nothing is missed.

Each task typically contains:

Steps to Create a Task in Snapfix

1. Open the Group

  • Navigate to the appropriate Group (e.g. Reactive Maintenance).
  • Tap the blue β€˜+’ icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  • You can also use the β€˜microphone’ icon to record a voice task.

2. Add a Photo, Video, or Sketch

  • Snapfix will prompt you to upload or capture a visual of the issue:

    βœ… Upload from camera roll
    βœ… Create a sketch
    βœ… Use text-only (if needed)

3. Annotate the Photo (Optional)

  • Use the sidebar tools to annotate or highlight specific areas in your image.

4. Apply Required Tags (if applicable)

  • If Location, Equipment, or Category Tags are set as mandatory, you will be prompted to select them.
  • These tags help categorise and track the task more efficiently.

5. Create the Task

  • Once saved, the task is marked as RED (New Task).
  • You can now assign one or more users to the task.
