Snapfix Comply: Dashboard and Systems Overview
Navigate the Comply module to monitor compliance status, manage systems, and stay on top of safety and regulatory deadlines.
Introduction
Snapfix Comply is the module focused on health, safety, and regulatory compliance. It brings together inspection scheduling, compliance tracking, contractor management, and document storage into a single view. If your property needs to manage fire safety, water hygiene, heating systems, electrical certificates, or other regulatory requirements, Comply is where you monitor and manage all of it.
Accessing Comply
Click Comply in the left sidebar. The module has five tabs across the top:
Dashboard — high-level compliance status overview
Timeline — a calendar view of upcoming and past compliance activities
Systems — the compliance categories you are tracking (e.g. Fire, Water, Heating)
Contractors — manage your external service providers
Folders — store and organise compliance documents and certificates
The Comply Dashboard
The Dashboard tab gives you an at-a-glance view of your compliance health. It includes:
Status cards for each compliance system — colour-coded to show whether the system is compliant (green), approaching a deadline (yellow), or overdue (red).
Upcoming deadlines — inspections, certificate renewals, and contractor visits due soon.
Recent activity — recently completed inspections and compliance actions.
This view is designed to answer the question: "Is anything overdue or about to expire?" If every card is green, you are in good shape.
Understanding Systems
The Systems tab is where you define what you need to be compliant with. Each system represents a category of compliance — for example:
Fire Safety — fire alarm testing, extinguisher inspections, emergency lighting, fire door checks
Water Hygiene — Legionella risk assessments, water temperature monitoring, tank inspections
Heating & Gas — boiler servicing, gas safety certificates
Electrical — PAT testing, fixed wiring inspections, EICR certificates
Certificates — insurance policies, licences, general certificates with expiry dates
Within each system, you can add individual items to track. Each item has a status, a due date, and can have associated tasks, checklists, documents, and contractor assignments.
Setting Up a New System
Go to the Systems tab.
Click + Add System (or use a pre-built template if available).
Name the system and configure the items within it.
Set due dates and assign responsibility.
The system will now appear on your Dashboard with a status indicator.
Snapfix provides pre-built compliance templates for common requirements like fire safety and water hygiene. These are a good starting point — you can customise them to match your property's specific needs.
